About me

My name is Helga Durst, and I work as an attorney-at-law specialised in the field of employment law.

I obtained my law degree at the University of Eötvös Loránd Faculty of Law and Political Sciences in 2016. I completed my bar exams in 2020, since then I have been working as a qualified attorney-at-law as a member of the Budapest Bar Association. I received my LL.M. degree as an employment law specialist at the University of Eötvös Loránd in 2023.
I gained professional experience at international law firms: I worked as a junior lawyer at Allen & Overy Budapest, where I was mainly engaged in corporate law, competition law, employment law and data protection cases. In 2019, I joined the employment law team of Deloitte Legal Law Firm, where I was a member for nearly seven years and the head of the employment law team for a year and a half.

Employment Law in Focus

My professional interest is focused on employment law, I have gained extensive experience in drafting employment agreement and related internal employment policies, as well as in providing advice on matters concerning the establishment and termination of employment relationships and on ad hoc issues (such as working time scheduling and the allocation of annual leave days, etc.). In addition, I have participated on numerous occasions in supporting corporate acquisitions, business transfers and other corporate law transactions as an expert on employee-related matters. I have also gained experience in cross-border employment arrangements, particularly in the areas of postings and remote work from abroad.

I have assisted clients during comprehensive employment law and HR due diligence processes, as well as by providing in-person and online trainings on employment law topics for HR professionals and employees. I also provide up-to-date support to clients regarding recent developments in the field of employment law: I have contributed to HR digitalisation projects and have delivered several presentations to help organisations prepare for the Pay Transparency Directive.
